Glacier National Park - part 1
Bye Canoe, Bye Casey, Bye Voyageurs ! We are now going to the Horse Whisperer country, and will be on the look out for the great Robert !

Hello Montana ! Do you know where is Mr Redford's ranch ?
Montana is 2/3rd of France surface, and has less than a million inhabitants
That makes a density of 2,5 person per Km2 ! France's density is 114p/Km2
They have 3 cows for each inhabitant ! They also have lots of birds !
And strange birds too ! This one needs a huge nest !
Glacier National Park is 1584 mi2 (4101Km2) has 700miles of trails (1120Km)
There are 130 named lakes , and the highest summit is at 12799ft (3901 m)
The ice from the mountains carved the valleys, created ribbonlike lakes
Long lakes makes a barrier to migrating herds, making fords good hunting places
This is a small river linking the 2 St Mary's Lakes
Crystal clear waters , slowly running.
Here as well we had some bad weather . Nice and dramatic effects .
Always wondered how trees can grow on rocks
Time to get some shelter
It's raining !
The famous Red Bus. Roof can be opened for better sight seeing
Need any comments ?
At a time, the ice was covering all. Now it's a forest .
Canadian Geese ( Bernache in french )
We were very disappointed by this lodge : extremely expensive, old small rooms
water pipes running through the room, all faucets leaking. Unjustified prices.

Montana being in West as lots of relics like this one !

How about a dive in this one ?
Mmm ?
Temptating !
We thought it was Robert's ranch !
No, but very nice still !
Sorry, it's blur, but the colour is correct ! The name of this plant ?
The famous Wild Goose island on St Mary lake
Nostalgy !
The reward at the end of the trail
Columbian Ground Squirrel or marmot, at Logan Pass .
Hard to spot when hiding behind a flower !
