Voyageurs National Park - part 2

We don't want to disturb those nice ducks any longer, let's go to another island !

It is a real pleasure to feel the canoe sliding effortlessly on calm waters ! Paddling for pleasure for the fun Visiting ... Aiming .... Cruising ... Reaching ... Exploring .... Searching ... Finding ... Mergansers ( Harle Couronne in french) Appreciating ... Continuing .. Seeking ... Enjoying ... ... and restarting all over again These are Loons , common but hard to picture ! They dive abruptly and are good swimmers. They reappear far away ! (in french Plongeons) On the way back to the lodge.. scaring all the seagulls again ! .. Ahem ! Almost all ! Back to Voyageurs Park Lodge Our cottage is at the end of this dock, hidden by the Tall Pines . On the right the place to store the paddles, life jackets, and a path along the shore leading to other cottages . There are some "classic" trails on the lake shore, a change for rainy days ! Some are happy and love rainy days ! Ferns for instance ! Very early the air is still cold from the night, but the water is warmer The sun rises quickly, it is warmer already . The Lodge motorboats are ready . Let's get the canoe and have another " promenade " !
