Our first months in Hungary

We landed in Budapest on 18th October directly from Bulgaria . From windsurfing on the Black Sea we switched to flat searching on the Danube's banks. From warm and sunny to cold and cloudy . Our following pictures, the white color is .... snow !

In this building, there are 6 flats. Ours spreads on 2 floors, middle and top . We balanced for this one , but too noisy ! Well, actually, this is Museum In the heart of Budapest there is Vaci street . This is one end , let's go ! Vaci utca ( pronounce VATSEE OOTSA ) is pedestrian street. So plenty of shops, Plenty of nice and old houses - Next slide shows the top centre window details Many houses in Budapest have this kind of decoration Plenty of nice and welcoming ETTEREM's and others, trying to deter ! Dare you ! This is a market place . So far we were on Pest side (East of Danube). This is Buda side. Let's go to the Palace. The South entrance . Only one picture to show you the style. Lighting that day was not so good. On the same hill, following the white arrow, we arrive to the cathedral The bronze model was impressive, but here is the real one ! Inside is also heavily decorated, statues and paintings, and a small museum The Fishermen Fortress, was erected by ...the fishermen to protect Budapest . Nice to visit with day light, but also nice at night Then you see the snow and the wind ! See the little furry hat, standing in the snow and the wind ? It's me ! After a day visiting, let's relax at the hot bath ! Even better when it snows ! Feels soooo good in the hot water ! Soooo ! Come, come, come !
