Work, pediatrician visit, and Travel to New Orleans

On Friday, I had to take time off from work in
the afternoon to attend James' visit with the pediatrician. I left work soon
after lunch for the 2 PM appointment. We arrived at the doctor's office shortly
after 2 PM, but because things were running so late, we didn't actually get into
the office until after 3 PM, and we didn't see the doctor until around 3:30 PM.
James appears a little jaundiced to him, so he ordered another blood test for
bilirubin, in addition to the vaccination on Friday. We waited around, and
shortly before 4 PM, I decided I had to run back to work to Fedex a card for
Skip J. and pick up William from daycare -- I had to leave that early, before
the appointment and blood test, in anticipation of traffic. Basically, I left
Heather and James in the medical building, and with traffic, I didn't get back
to pick them up until around 6:30 PM, at which time we went to Burger King to
get dinner and more Star Wars
toys.
Yesterday, I spent much of the
day taking care of James and William in addition to cleaning up a lot of home
finance paperwork. Last night, I started work (again) on my data analysis for
the presentation on Wednesday, but I didn't finish it. I left home for a trip
to New Orleans (Delta #1130, ONT to Salt Lake City to New Orleans, leaving at
1:25 PM), and I did some work on the second leg of the trip. The whole trip was
uneventful except for work and for some doofus across the aisle during the
second leg, who was listening to his iTunes music on his ThinkPad and dancing in
his seat.
Had room service at the
Sheraton New Orleans, after I arrived and set up my internet connection.
Southwestern shrimp wrap, with fries, and a Coke.
