Dean Meetup



I went to a Dean meetup last night. 6 out of 17 people showed up. The mood was slightly down initially. When one woman showed up the mood changed. She had a lot of energy and determination. She was focused on what needed to be done to bring more people and money into the campaign. She was a wealth of information about the Dean campaign as well as Bush and Kerry.

With Dean's announcement today of Wisconsin being the make or break state everyone seems to have a renewed purpose. I donated another $30 today.

If nothing else Dean has energized the party and brought a lot of people into the process. I think he is just what the democrats needed to light a fire and mobilize. Personally I was bracing for an inevitable Bush win and expected to watch from the sidelines before I got involved in the Dean campaign. Now I am volunteering for the democratic candidate for congress in my district.
