Random TV-ness...

1) We finished the last episode of the last season of Buffy last night. Buffy was the latest in our "watch an entire series on DVD" thing we've been doing for quite some time now.

It's pretty hard to sum up all the reasons I liked this series, but it really was up there with any other sci-fi show on television. Even when it wasn't working so well, it was still pretty good. (As opposed to say, Voyager, which was unwatchable when it wasn't working well.)

Not sure what the next series will be. I guess Heroes is the cool show du-jour (along with Battlestar Galactica), though we really prefer watching these things after the whole series is over. Six Feet Under was one possibility, but it just seems so ... dark. Sopranos was another option, but frankly, other than The Godfather, I'm not into gangsters all that much.

Any suggestions ... preferably sci-fi suggestions?

2) The Sci-Fi channel has approved a third season of Eureka. Why? I truly don't understand Sci-Fi's programming. Ron Moore, show runner for the best show on TV has constantly complained about not getting enough money from Sci-Fi, and yet they order a third season of this craptactular show (not to mention, those horrible two hour cheese-fests usually titled something like "Maneater!" or "Hookworm!" -- always with an exclamation point.)

3) I continue to hear rumors about a Knight Rider TV show and/or movie.
