Voyager...For the last several years, Brian and I have been
watching series SciFi on DVD, working our way through an entire series, one
episode at a time. We started several years ago with Babylon 5.
Actually we started mostly because we'd watched 4 years of it on TBS, where it
was shown every evening, but each time they played the final episode of the
Shadow Wars plot line we'd miss it ... this happened several times and was
frustrating, so we just decided to watch the whole thing on DVD. After
Babylon 5 came Deep Space 9 (far better when watched all the way
through like this than it initially seemed when it was actually on TV.) After
Deep Space 9 came Farscape, and then Firefly. And finally,
after Firefly came Voyager. Honestly, we didn't watch several of
the Voyager episodes, they were so bad. And, last night when the opening
of the final episode came on, which begins with the Voyager arriving at Earth, I
was ready to turn it off after 30 seconds. "Well, they made it home! We're
done. What's next?" It isn't a good sign when you don't really care if they
ever make it home. Honestly I felt worse for the castaways on Gilligan's
Island (those poor people) than I did the Voyager
crew.
Not sure what's next. There's not really any Sci Fi left. So maybe Six Feet Under? Buffy? Posted: Tue - May 1, 2007 at 10:50 AM |
