Speaking of buying a used car...
2003 Jetta Of course, the first thing my Dad said when he saw it
was, "Black?"* But I reminded him that when you buy a used car from someone
you're sort of stuck with the color they have, like the ugly teal truck I bought
from him. (I love the truck, hate the color.) Truth is, I'm not thrilled with
black either, as it shows dirt so easily. On the other hand, it matches my
black Macbook and my iPhone, so at least my accessories are coordinated. It's a
turbo, which for a car this size and weight is completely too much power. I
think I can do 80 mph before hitting the end of the driveway with this thing.
But at least it's better on gas than my truck. And it has heated seats, which
are sooooo made of awesome in the
winter.
As they say on Firefly, "Shiny!" * My Dad is famous for these sorts of questions. A few years ago, after the 'rents got back from Florida, they stopped by our place to see us for the first time in months. The first words out of Dad's mouth were, "Don't you guys own a lawn mower?" We had mowed the day before. Posted: Tue - July 22, 2008 at 08:51 AM |
