Easter Dinner: The Un-SederAlternate Title: He has been raised, so let's eat
pig!
The Menu: Herb roasted pork tenderloin, with scallion, garlic, and mustard glaze. (Browned in bacon fat prior to roasting) Braised mustard & collard greens with bacon Baked beans with bacon Mashed potatoes with pork gravy Deviled Eggs Notice a theme? (If I'd been able to figure out a way to get bacon into the deviled egg recipe, I would have done so.) The baked beans were my Mom's recipe. Mom is one of those cooks who doesn't use recipes with amounts. So her recipe says things like, "Add ketchup until red. Add brown sugar until sweet." Among the benefits of worshipping the risen Jesus: eternal salvation and eating bacon. Sometimes it's hard to say which is a bigger win. Posted: Mon - April 13, 2009 at 01:24 PM |
