Goulash...When I was a kid, my mom made a dish she called
"goulash." The name itself changed over and over in our childhood
lexicon. "Eyelash" was a common name, not sure why we thought that was
funny.
Anyway, goulash (according to my mom) was amazingly
simple to make: pound of pasta, pound of ground beef, and a can of stewed
tomatoes. Fry beef, boil pasta, mix together with tomatoes and
serve.
Apparently real goulash has no tomatoes in it.
Who knew? Brian made a great,
and probably more authentic version the other
night.
See his blog for the recipe.
