 One of my labmates brought in the latest Vanity Fair for me last week. (My labmates rock -- they bring me beefcake posters, the home schedule for the men's gymnastics team, and now this.) I'd like to think they bring me these things as Tribute, much as the serfs brought treasured items to the King in the olden days. However, they probably just do it because they're cool.
Anyway: Back to Geek Porn! There's a huge fold-out spread of all the Star Wars stars past and present on the cover (including the new Revenge of the Sith villian, General Grevious.) Very cool. (Oh, when I said geek porn, you probably thought I meant this, didn't you?)
In other geek news, I just bought this, which will have a space in my t-shirt drawer along with this, and this.
Because I'm a geek, that's why. (But I still don't have an iPod shuffle. Or a TiVo. *sniff* *sniff*)
(By the way, there is other cool stuff in that Vanity Fair. Like this article by James Wolcott in which he examines the contridictions of a country that turns Will and Grace into a hit show, and yet votes completely red-neck on Nov. 2nd.) |
