Thank God that the Supreme Court was able to wrangle in its activist members: Rehnquist, O'Conner, and Thomas. These unelected, unaccountable judges actually believed that States should have the ability to set their own laws when it comes to medical marijuana.
Instead, the majority ruled against States rights, which pleased the Bush administration. Because, regardless of their rhetoric, they are indeed for big federal government, whether it's medical marijuana, education policy, gay marriage, federal identification, internet taxes, medical-malpractice lawsuits, or contested presidential elections.
Thank God the era of big government is over. And, thank God we're keeping those activists like Rehnquist and Thomas in their place. |
