And you thought airport security is intrusive now?

Apparently, the Department of Homeland Security is examining the use of backscatters, a type of X-Ray device for use in airport screening procedures.

I know what you're thinking: "Who cares? They already X-Ray my bags."

Yeah, but these nifty devices are for X-Raying you.

The way this device works is that it basically sees through clothing, but is not powerful enough to see through both clothing and skin. Thus, you'll be naked.

This means that airport screening will be turned into a peepshow for the TSA employees.

I'm a little disappointed at this possible change in screening procedures. Now the TSA employees will be having all the fun, while we have none. Come on! We all know the only enjoyable part of going to the airport is hearing the words, "male assist!" as we walk through security. We giggle nervously as we desperately hope that it'll be some hottie who walks over to pat us down (it never is.) Those days will be over, now that the TSA employees will simply be using their X-Ray specs. I can't wait to see the statistics on who gets scanned.

I think, to make things really interesting, they should put monitors up for all of us to see people walking through. That would give us something to do while we wait in line. On second thought, since Detroit is the 3rd fattest city in Amercia, those monitors may not be such a great idea.
