It seems some enterprising entrepreneur has got a completely unoriginal idea for a movie: Find a bunch of college guys, offer to pay them money, get them to take their clothes off, film them, sell the tapes.
A Michigan porno-producer has been soliciting University students to appear in his not-ready-for-prime-time productions. And recently, The University community has received at least 2 different email messages from The Administration about the dangers of participating in these movies. (The guy apparently wants to tape his scenes on campus in dorms, libraries, and bathrooms. Making porn is legal. Making porn on campus is not, apparently.)
But usually, people aren't quite so blatant -- or at least they aren't around here. I thought this kind of behavior was reserved for completely smashed sorority (or soro-situtes as they are sometimes known) during spring break. Kids are just growing up so fast these days. Before you know it, they're 19 and being filmed getting bent over a sink in the Grad Library bathrooms.
It's good to see that in addition to an international reputation as a center of excellence in many areas of research, we will soon be known as a hot house of porno activity. That should really help our endowment.
