We welcome the new member of our little family. He's adjusting nicely to his new home, and like his big brother, has already become psychic.
When I plugged him in, the installation software wanted me to name him. I'm looking for a good name for him, but haven't come up with one yet. My computer's name is Adamantium (the old Powerbook was Aluminum). But I don't have good names for either of my iPods. Doesn't have to be an "element" theme. I suppose I could name the Shuffle "Hydrogen" because it's the smallest, but that's just not as cool sounding. Or perhaps "Quark" because that's somewhat cooler sounding (though not keeping with the element theme, it's at least keeping with a chemistry theme.) and quarks are pretty small. Or maybe "iQuark." But then I have to name the iPod. Maybe "Tritium" because it's a 3rd generation iPod?
Hmmm...what are your suggestions? (And they don't have to be chemistry related.)
(NOTE: Added March 10, 2005: I did finally decide on names. I decided to stick with the "Phony Element" theme. Thus, my computer continues to be Adamantium, my iPod is now Dilithium, and my Shuffle is Latinum. Extra bonus geek points if you know all the references.) |
