I am currently working for a company called Imaging Research. I also worked for this company from September 1999 until July 2002 before taking a short break to potentially pursue my Ph.D. degree as noted below. They are located in St. Catharines, Ontario. The company has about 50 employees and does biomedical and pharmaceutical image processing and image analysis.
I began studys for my Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering at McMaster University. However, I only completed my first semester before changing my mind and leaving the program.
I completed my M.A.Sc in Systems Design Engineering at the University of Waterloo in April of 1999. My supervisor was Ed Jernigan and I was a member of the Vision and Image Processing group. My thesis was entitled "Multiplicative Lateral Inhibition Models for Sharpening and Smoothing Images". If you're still interested, you can get a more detailed look at my thesis on my academic page.
I completed my B.A.Sc in Systems Design Engineering in April of 1997. Our class was known as FYSH.
