• GEN E 121 (W1999) - Digital Computation
  An introductory course in computer programming and scientific programming taught using C/C++. Beginning with the basic concepts of data types, decision structures and loops, students will be able to apply these concepts to deal with various scientific and numerical computing problems. More advanced topics will include vectors, object oriented programming and pointers. This section is for students in Environmental Chemical Engineering.

Courses TA'ed

For the most part, as a MASc student, I have had the opportunity to act as a Teaching Assitant (TA), rather than teaching a course. Here are the courses for which I have been the TA.

• SY DE 252 (F1997) - Linear Signals and Systems
  A first course in linear signal processing covering impulse response, convolutions, fourier transforms, laplace and z transforms, transfer functions, frequency responses and design of linear systems.
• SY DE 444 (W1998) - Biomedical Engineering
  A course designed to introduce Engineering students to human physiology and the measurement of parameters related to human function. Covers the physiology of muscles, circulation and brain function and its measurement as well as modern medical imaging.
• SY DE 192 (S1998) - Digital Design
  A first course in digital logic and the design of digital circuits. Beginning with basic logic gates, the foundations are laid to lead into sequential logic including the use of ROMs and PLAs.
• SY DE 575 (F1998) - Image Processing
  Building on the foundations of a first signal processing course, this course extends the students knowledge into two dimensional signal processing. Basic linear filtering, histogram transformations, spatial frequency domain filters, the ideal Wiener filter, homomorphic filtering strategies, order statistics and adaptive filters are covered. A lab component allows students to gain further understanding of the effects of the filters discussed in class.
