Art is the history of ideas.

Eighth graders do a major research project on architecture. They first do a survey of major sites in every culture covered in the 8th grade social studies curriculum. Then they chose one site to research and create a brochure in Publisher. The brochure includes vocabulary, history, building techniques and the purpose for the building.
