Katie, Marcia and Bob Formann standing on the left, Bob Dunshee, Jim Callea, (only his feet are visable) Gary and John seated on the log. Michele and Susanne standing on the right.
Paul is tending the fire under the chowder. Earlier he steamed the clams and added them to the broth and potatoes. He set this up on a midden, so we weren't the first ones to pick this spot for a clam feed.
Here is a peek at the chowder in it's early stages. It was soon boiling and both pots were added to a larger pot. It was delicious.
Here is Paul's Rana Boat, with Bob and Marcia's whitehall gracefully afloat in the background. I voted their method of tending on a rising tide as the winning method. Here they have an anchor off the stern with the bow line staked on the beach. Gary demonstrated his inflated rollers in moving his dory up the beach. (This photo is courtesy of Bob Dunshee)
Here is Gary's dory with Tom Regan's Rangeley Lake Boat and a Peapod, both built by Tom.
My strip built kayak is on the left, John's Pygmy Coho in the middle, and Jim's forward facing rowing Peeper on the right. These three boats were built by the three of us, all using different techniques.
Missing from the pictures are me, Tom Regan, and Susanne's brother Floyd.
