About Al

Al and Annamarie at Cape Cod

When I retired in 1992, I was determined to have some fun designing and building things that I never had time for in my working years. I also love to sail and explore, so those have figured into my retirement scheme. I've spent my time building a 26 foot sailboat, traveling with my wife Annamarie, doing volunteer work, kayaking, spending time with our children and grand daughter, gardening, cutting firewood to heat our home, helping friends, and sailing. Hobbies include reading, cooking, photography, keeping up my web page and trying to stay up with computers, programming first in basic, then Pascal, and now Applescript. In November 2002, I was elected president of our local chapter of the Traditional Small Craft Association (TSCA) so that fit well into my interests. Our "messabouts" are always fun events.
