If architects designed software...

What's the fastest way to get from the hospital entrance to the emergency room? Helicopter.

Last night we had to go to the emergency room on a baby false alarm. Once we turned into the ONLY entrance to the hospital, we learned that the most crucial care center of the building was located in the back. In order to get to the entrance of the emergency room we had to encounter:

- Five stop signs
- Six pedestrian crossings
- Several turns
- Stuck behind a parking shuttle bus
- Three emergency room signs, conveniently well out of sight of each other.
- A 5 m.p.h. speed limit.

Thank god I wasn't bleeding to death or I may have lost consciousness before I reached critical care. I also learned that the front entrance to the hospital (directly in front as you enter the grounds) is connected to the emergency room by a ten foot hallway and one door. This made me thankful that the brilliant designer of this building and it's grounds, didn't design software, or your day might go something like this:
