Immortalize Yourself: Get Published!
You don't need an agent, or a publisher. You just have
to have something to say.We are making a call
for submissions for the next blog books. We don't
normally ask for submissions, because our books aren't a popularity contest or
an awards show. But the next planned books cover travel, food, and crafts, and
submissions work perfectly for these topics.
If you or someone you know has a great entry or blog
on any of those topics, we would like you to send us the link. We're looking
for: Craft
Projects
Recipes Great stories about
food Great travel tips or
storiesThe
Rules: -If you already appear in
Never Threaten to Eat Your
Co-Workers, you aren't
eligible...sorry. -You don't have to be the
blogger to nominate someone, but feel free to shamelessly promote
yourself. -The content has to originate from a
blog (we make no distinction between blog and journal). If you aren't sure
whether it qualifies, submit it anyway. -It
has to be an original work. -The writer must
own the rights to the material. -The entry
doesn't require tons of hyperlinks to contribute to the overall content of the
piece.Helpful
Tips: -If you want us to look at a
specific entry, be sure to include the link.
-Links only please...don't copy and paste actual
entries -If the site isn't dedicated to one of
these topics, then point to a specific
entry.More
info: -We will ask for rights to reprint
the material. You aren't prevented from publishing it again, and you retain the
rights. I'm a writer, so I wouldn't make other writers give up their
ownership. -We pay an advance towards future
royalties for work we accept. The advance isn't a fortune, and you won't get
rich from it. -Each blogger in the book
shares equally in the royalties from the book with the other bloggers. No one
blogger makes any more or less than any other.
-You get a free copy of the book, of course.
-We're not design snobs. We care about content and ideas, not web design. Don't
feel because you don't have the best designed site that you don't have a chance.
And for goodness sake, don't be shy. Not everyone is Hemingway, but everyone has
something to say.Click here to submit.
