Tap Sequences

The files listed in the table below are named according to the lengths of the corresponding LFSR. The files from 3 to 24 bits contain maximal length tap sequences from 2 to 24 taps. The files from 25 to 32 bits contain only the maximal length tap sequences for 2, 4, and 6 taps. The file named misc.txt contains some dense sequences (those involving at least half the bits) for registers of 25 to 32 bits.

Not all the maximal length tap sequences are explicitly listed in the files. Every tap sequence has a mirror sequence; i.e., a tap sequence described by [n A B C] has a mirror described by [n n-C n-B n-A]. If a tap sequence is a maximal length tap sequence, its mirror will also be one.
