This letterbox
is located in a wilderness park in 3
ACROSS
County. This park is located on 6
DOWN
Highway. The name of the park is 12
DOWN
Wilderness Park and is related to the title
of the letterbox. To get to the start of the hike, drive past the campgrounds
to a location where a 1
DOWN
and 5
ACROSS
are located. From here take a trail that heads West. This is the
14
ACROSS+ 2 DOWN
trail (Shown as the
14 ACROSS+ 15 ACROSS)
trail
on one of the maps). Take this trail, winding through huge oaks and small
open meadows, eventually crossing a creek. Take the unmarked trail to the
4
DOWN. At
the T intersection, go Left (The sign shows the 14
ACROSS+ 15 ACROSS with
an arrow going to the right - do not take that - if you turn around at
the intersection and look back you'll see a "no bikes" sign). After turning
left continue on until the trail dead ends at another T intersection. Take
another left here and you'll be on the 11
DOWN 7 DOWN
Trail. Take this trail 4
DOWN
until you reach the junction with the Sun Rise trail. Take the Sun
Rise trail until you see the 19
ACROSS 16 ACROSS
trail. Take this trail, climbing up until it reaches a junction with the
17
DOWN
Trail. Head left on this trail, dropping down into a wash/low spot.
You will come upon a 11
ACROSS
on the right hand side of the trail. From the 10
ACROSS
of this, walk along the trail 18
ACROSS
paces more and then 4 paces at 120° magnetic 4
DOWN.
There should be a pile of 8
ACROSS
next to an 2
DOWN
Tree. The letterbox is under these. Please put the box back where you found
it, hidden well, when you are done.
If the box is missing
or damaged, please contact us at advtrvlr2001@yahoo.com.
Enjoy!
