This picture was taken facing south during the summer of 2004.

This is the same spot during summer 2005. I put this bed in this spring. I plan to continue the path to the corner of the deck here. I'll do that next summer. No more rocks this summer!
This is how it looked in the summer of 2006. The plants are still small in this picture, but give them a couple years and they should fill in nicely.
This is the view facing north in 2004. I wish I would have stood back a litte more for this picture. You can just barely see the corner of the back of the garage on the right. Tomatoes grow against the back wall of the garage (to the right, where you can't see). The lawn sloped down to an area that I've been trying to turn into a natural looking woods.

This is the same view in the fall of 2005, except I'm farther back.
This is from the very edge of my property. The grass in the lower left of the picture is my neighbors'.
Here's a view in the opposite direction. I'm standing a few feet from the garage wall.
A close up of the wall. I grow tomatoes against that wall every year. There will be an herb garden in this area. Nancy has been bugging me to plant basil and cilantro for the last two summers, and this was my way of making room for them. Sort of overkill, I guess.

This is earlier in the summer during construction. I moved a lot of dirt around during the summer!
Here are the steps under construction. I really like how these turned out.
This is a view from the top of the steps during construction. You can see where I stockpiled the rocks before adding them to the path. The farms where I got the rocks were both about 10 miles away. I probably spent as much time gathering rocks from various piles and driving them back as I did building the paths and wall. I hauled them all in my Jeep Wrangler, so it took a lot of trips.
