Spring bulbs are popping up.

This is to the left of the house. Myrtle (vinca minor) is growing in front with some perennials behind. There are a couple of new fruit trees in this area and lots of small maples and pines that I planted farther back. I had just gotten a load of the city's compost before this picture was taken.

The garden in midsummer.

Here's a close up of some flowers. That green thing in the back is a Weitech Yard and Garden Protector. It emits a high pitched tone that annoys the deer. It's not perfect, but I think it helps.

Here's the summer garden from another angle.

This is an area I want to improve some this summer. You can see a little bit of a garden in the foreground just after I put it in. I have perennial geranium planted there, and I'm going to add some Siberian iris this summer.

Here are my compost piles full of chopped leaves. That's my daughter on the path.

Looks like a stoplight, huh?

Buzz buzz.

I didn't realize how cool purple cone flowers looked close up until I took this picture. I was just after the bee!
