Freddie Duran was once named "Arizona Songwriter of the Year" at the AZ Entertainment Awards in Tempe. Back when STAR SEARCH was having local tryouts in Phoenix, he got 2nd place and lost to some guy named, let's see - OH YEAH - DAVID SPADE!!" You can hear Freddie's voice on countless radio jingles and TV ads running in the Phoenix area. As well as singing on them, he has written a few. He also penned the "Tempe City Song" which he wrote for a contest they were having to find a song for their city. His song was chosen over 100 other songwriters who entered the competition.
