Videocue Pro creating a Podcast or 3gp file:

Aim:
Here we will use the Videocue's tutorial as our working example. With in this tutorial you will learn how to create a audio or video file, be it of a Podcast or 3gp video stream to mobile phones.
If you are new to Videocue or Videocue Pro it's a very versatile program, with a jam packet powerful feature set at your finger tips! It's more than just a video/audio teleprompter you can create rich movie presentations that can support learners in the education environment.

What will you need:
Hardware: G4 - G5 Mac, iStght or Firewire camera with mic, and may be iFlex - for more info click here..
Software: Videocue Pro - for more info click here.

1. After opening Videocue in your Applications folder. Go to the Export Settings under File in the menu bar.

- Tip: a short cut to Applications folder when in the Finder is to press "Shift + Apple key + A"

2.a Next we will pick from the pull-down menu For Podacst, (this default is set to audio).

2.b If you're wanting to do create a video Podcast or a video presentation for mobile video stream, then pick For Web, Large.

3. Next we will drag our audio or video source from the Media window in the bottom left corner, up to the presentation Layer.

4. Now we have our Media source in place in the presentation Layer. The next stage is to work out how long we want to talk for, by adjusting the speed of the prompter. Just above the Media window there is a slider, with a tortoise and a hare to represent how fast or slow you want to go. To the right of the slider there is a timer, this timer tells you total time of how long your talk will be.
In this case I've set my talk here to be 15 seconds long, by sliding the blue ball.

5. After we have set our time for our talk. We can now start the fun bit by having a go at recording our talk/speech. To do this we'll click on the big red record button above the speed prompter slider.
As your text scrolls up and enters the red bar area, that's your prompt to start reading the text highlighted. In this case, this is a simple demo but you can achieve TV style results, it's up to your personal creativity how far you want to go after this tutorial.

6. When you have finished recording your talk/speech you'll see this pop down window come down. After configuring your settings to save your file, then click on save button if you're happy.

7. Here we can see our saved file in the Finder. At this point here you can take your file in iTunes to convert it as a mp3 file of Podcasting, or if you would like to stream this file to your mobile phone, then click on the link below for the QuickTime Pro tutorial.
